Fashion has always been more than just clothing for me—it’s a way to express confidence, embrace individuality, and create pieces that tell a story. I’m Lydia Endora, and I’ve spent over 15 years refining my skills in pattern-making, professional tailoring, and custom fashion design. My passion for design is rooted in my upbringing, inspired by my grandmother’s love for sewing and my mother’s unwavering work ethic. Today, I bring that same dedication to my own brand, where I create high-quality, made-to-order womenswear that celebrates both style and craftsmanship.
The Vision Behind By Lydia Endora
When I launched By Lydia Endora, I knew I wanted it to be more than just a clothing line—I wanted to create a brand that empowers women to feel confident in what they wear. Every piece I design is intentionally crafted to complement a woman’s natural form while ensuring both comfort and elegance. I believe that fashion should be as unique as the person wearing it, which is why all my designs are made-to-order, ensuring a perfect fit and a personal touch.
One of my signature collections, The Taffeta Collection, showcases my love for luxurious fabrics and bold, sophisticated designs. Pieces like the Brocade Collared Wrap Coat and the Stretch Taffeta Pant embody the balance between structure and movement, making them both statement-making and wearable. Whether it’s an everyday power look or a standout event ensemble, I design with the modern woman in mind—someone who values quality, individuality, and timeless style.
Custom Design & Alterations: Bringing Your Vision to Life
In addition to ready-to-wear fashion, I also run Alterations by Lydia Endora, my full-service custom fashion design and tailoring business based in Oak Park, IL. Here, I specialize in everything from standard alterations to complete garment transformations. Whether a client needs a beloved dress resized, a vintage piece modernized, or a completely custom-designed outfit, I work closely with them to bring their vision to life.
Bridal alterations are also a huge part of what I do. I know how important it is for a bride to feel perfect on her wedding day, and I take great care in tailoring gowns to fit flawlessly. Beyond that, I also offer upcycling services, where I take pre-loved pieces and give them new life—because I believe that sustainability and style can (and should) go hand in hand.
